Featured performer Don Wright is a seasoned guitarist and vocalist who has been on stage since 1975. His repertoire spans rock and roll, country, and blues, and his dedication to the craft reaches into the community. As founder and past president of the Decatur, Illinois Blues Society, he helped grow a scene by organizing blues jams, teaching blues in schools, and coordinating family festivals and competitions. He has also judged events in Decatur and Champaign, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and for five years at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. In the Tulsa area he regularly hosts open mics to give other musicians a chance to shine. Taking place at Bixby High School in Bixby, OK, Youth HeartCheck provides families with a simple screening aimed at identifying serious heart conditions that routine checkups or sports physicals may not catch. Many cardiac issues show no symptoms, and families often have no warning. Even if a child appears healthy, their heart could still have an undetected issue. My HeartCheck exists to address this need, offering a straightforward way to look for concerns a child may not feel and a parent cannot see, providing peace of mind and an opportunity to protect their future. Financial aid is available through partnerships with the Strive for Life Foundation and the Jordan Robert Mann Foundation.

Celebrate the bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that keep ecosystems healthy at Ray Harral Nature Center. Take part in a Parks4Pollinators bioblitz to help document local species, try hands-on monarch tagging while learning about their migration, and swap plants and seeds on a bring-some-take-some basis. Families can enjoy games and crafts, and everyone is welcome to explore the trails and discover simple ways to support pollinators in the community. Admission is free and open to all ages. Presented by Ray Harral Nature Center with local conservation partners.

Students from the Legato School of Music take the stage for an open mic showcase at YUMMY Subs & More. They will share their talent and skills, performing favorite selections alongside original songs.

BAIVA presents its fifth annual benefit powwow, a community gathering devoted to honoring Native veterans, celebrating culture, and strengthening connections. Hosted by the Broken Arrow Intertribal Veterans Association and held in partnership with Broken Arrow Public Schools, admission is free for all. The program includes gourd dancing, a Grand Entry, and a full lineup of contests and intertribals. Contest registration will be available on site, and to be eligible for prizes, participants must take part in the Grand Entry and wear full regalia. Attendees can look forward to traditional food, arts and crafts vendors, and a 50/50 drawing along with raffles, with veterans recognized throughout the event. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. This is a family-friendly, alcohol- and drug-free environment.

Attendees can meet and park in the lot, check out the cars that roll in, and order tacos to support a local business. A snow cone spot is right nearby. Kids are welcome. If there is interest, a short cruise around BA may follow.
