At Boomarang Diner in Midwest City, car enthusiasts gather to talk shop, show off their vehicles, and enjoy food in a fun, relaxed setting. The meet depends on the weather and offers plenty of parking, making it easy to connect with fellow fans of hot rods and hamburgers.

Get hands-on with a single-session pottery wheel workshop for anyone who wants to try wheel throwing without committing to a series of sessions. Each class begins with demonstrations, then moves into guided practice covering the basics of throwing clay, including centering, opening, pulling, and shaping. The session includes 1.5 hours of instruction and materials for $60 per person. Trimming and finishing are not taught in this class, and the studio will trim, fire, and glaze your piece for you. You may keep the pieces you create, which will be available for pickup three weeks after your class and will be held for up to 30 days. Class size is limited to five participants. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and registering at least two hours before the start helps secure a spot since walk-ins are usually unavailable. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. The class begins promptly, and late arrivals may not be able to complete the project. Arrival 20 minutes or more after the start is considered a cancellation with no refund. All tickets are non-refundable. Participants must be at least 14 years old, and anyone under 18 must have a guardian sign a waiver. Wear clothing and shoes you do not mind getting muddy, and take necessary precautions if you have cuts or abrasions on your hands. Please note the allergen warning. The studio is home to a shop cat named Fishstick, so attendance is not advised for anyone with a cat allergy.

Presented by the City of Midwest City, this casual cruise in takes place at Santa Fe Cattle Co. in Midwest City. Open to all ages, it has no admission charge and no fee to display a vehicle. Attendees can showcase their ride or simply browse the lineup while enjoying complimentary coffee and a donut.

The 12th annual Rock Out Cancer Rockin 5K run and walk at Midwest City Regional Park blends a lively music theme with a fitness challenge, all to benefit the OU Stephenson Cancer Center. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite rock star, keeping costumes family friendly, and comfortable athletic shoes are recommended. Bring an ID or your confirmation email for check in, and every participant receives an event T-shirt. Awards and prizes recognize the top three finishers in the 5K as well as the best costume. After the race, the celebration continues at The Landing Zone with eight bands, a silent auction, food, and plenty of music. Parking and check in are located at The Landing Zone parking lot, and the day includes participant check in, an opening ceremony, and the start for runners. All donations and proceeds support the OU Stephenson Cancer Center, which advances cancer research across basic, translational, clinical, behavioral, and population-based studies.

Art Farts hosts a free open studio where creative people can spread out at communal tables and focus on their own projects. Bring the supplies you plan to use, and purchase additional materials on site if needed. You are welcome to arrive and leave at your own pace. This gathering is geared toward adults and older teens, while younger children can look for separate Kids Craft Nights. Please note that supplies are not provided unless purchased.

This benefit concert raises money to fight cancer, with all proceeds supporting the Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma. Live music fills the day with performances by Christy Bryant & Twist of Fate, Tyler Lee Band, The Stinnett Brothers, Megan & The Foxes, Karma, Channel 3, THE B- SIDES, and Brown Note. In addition to the music, there will be a silent auction, a 5K run, and plenty of good food and cold drinks.
