Organized by the Newberg Downtown Coalition and the Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce, this one hour cleanup brings neighbors together to freshen up downtown Newberg in advance of First Friday. Volunteers gather at The Yellow House and can contribute for a quick 15 minutes or stay for the whole hour. Every bit of effort supports a cleaner, more welcoming downtown.

Explore how to build a living terrarium while learning both creative design and the plant science behind it. The workshop covers choosing appropriate plants, caring for them over time, and arranging elements to achieve the look you want. It is family friendly. Up to two children under eight can participate for free, and each additional child in that age range is half price. The workshop provides step by step instruction, your choice of a glass vessel, three plants suited to terrariums, a selection of decorative accents, and all other materials needed to complete your piece. Extra plants are available for $2.00 each.

A one night gathering for women brings together laughter, learning, personal stories, and live music as three women share the stage at Baker Creek Community Church. The evening features author and speaker Debbie Alsdorf, comedian Tammy Whitehurst, and singer and worship leader Jaime Jamgochian.
