Participants can connect with neighbors, lend a hand, and see positive changes take shape across downtown.

This annual run and walk supports sight and hearing initiatives in the community. All net proceeds help provide eyeglasses, hearing aids, and scholarships for Audiology and Optometry students. Early bird pricing is offered at $30 for the 5k and $35 for the 10k. Standard online registration fees are $35 for the 5k and $40 for the 10k, with no transaction fee, and students receive a reduced rate until registration closes. Register by the stated deadlines to qualify for a commemorative long sleeve racer mesh T-shirt and a personalized chipped bib, with shirts guaranteed only for those who meet the shirt cutoff. Teams check in at the clubhouse, where one player can handle the whole group’s registration and pick up a team bag filled with LED glow balls, a starting hole assignment, a scorecard, glow bracelets, and a few extra goodies. The LED balls activate with a flashlight or phone light and can be turned off the same way, and extras are available for purchase if needed. Expect classic scramble play spiced up with playful course twists like a pet graveyard and a pumpkin patch on select greens, closest to the pin and long drive challenges, and even a special gloves tee off. Stop by the clubhouse for pumpkin chipping, where sinking a shot in a pumpkin can earn a chance to shave strokes. Prizes await the top three teams, with a trophy for first place, along with awards for KP, Long Putt, and Longest Drive. Costumes are encouraged, and a fan voted contest will crown winners in categories including Scariest, Funniest, Favorite Group Costume, and Golfer’s Choice. For safety, do not throw candy from cars, since each vehicle serves as its own float, and take extra care in the low-light conditions. An informal get together is planned at La Sierra after the parade. This activity is limited to Oregon Mini Society members, and it is intended for owners and drivers of Classic Minis and New MINIs.
