Dawes has also toured and recorded with Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, contributing to live releases including Spirits…Live, which debuted at number two on the US Billboard chart. His collaborative reach spans a duet album with Tommy Emmanuel titled Accomplice Vol. 3 and a 2024 double single with the GRAMMY-nominated band Periphery. His credits include 15 years as Joe Cocker’s lead guitarist, sessions with Tina Turner, and co-writing top 10 hits for Rod Stewart and Heart, channeling the spirit of Mike Campbell while sounding distinctly his own. Thomas focuses on piano, electric piano, and B3 organ, favoring the energy of live performance along with work as a sound engineer and recordist. He has appeared on stage and in the studio with artists such as Craig Chaquico, Justin Hayward, John Mayall, Stanton Moore, Leon Russell, The Subdudes, Robin Trower, Jeff Pevar, Alice Di Micele, and Bret Levick, bringing a soulful rock and blues touch that nods to Benmont Tench. Bassist Jeff Addicott studied popular music performance at Mount Royal College in Calgary before moving to Oregon, and performs with a wide range of groups and artists, including Sage Meadows, Jimmy Pinwheel, Modern Prometheus, Salsa Brava, Q&A, The Wild Goose Chase Trio, Robby DeCosta, and Danielle Kelly. Their story began in early 2024 when Barry Sless and Stephen Inglis paired for what was intended as a single appearance, then quickly expanded after a run of California shows. Rob Barraco joined Inglis during a Dark Star Orchestra performance at the Hawaii Theatre that April, and the musical chemistry among the three led to a trio that soon grew with the addition of Sless’s longtime partners Pete Sears on bass and Jay Lane on drums. After two years of Thanksgiving community potlucks, this edition introduces a new theme focused entirely on pie. Presented by Overlap, Piesgiving is a shared meal built around both sweet and savory creations, with attendees bringing a pie of any style to contribute. To keep waste to a minimum, guests are encouraged to bring a reusable plate or bowl and their own fork or spoon. The gathering is free to attend, and an RSVP is requested to help with planning.
