Cody Tyler

Cody Tyler and his band bring a rugged, roots-driven country sound to Upper Macungie Township National Night Out at Upper Macungie Grange Park. Shaped by life in Pennsylvania’s coal and steel communities and by time spent hunting and hiking in the woods, their music blends red dirt grit with bluegrass energy and southern rock flair. Influences include Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, The Allman Brothers Band, and Sturgill Simpson, with Cody’s seasoned vocals and guitar leading a road-honed group sound they call Black Dirt Country. The lineup features Raif Groves on lead guitar, Gavin Orth on drums, and Sean Grahn on fretless bass, delivering tight grooves and expressive playing. Their debut album, Stare Your Demons Down, recorded with Jeff McKinnon at Think Loud Studios in York and Full Tilt Productions in Mechanicsburg and mastered by Grammy winner Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Mastering in Nashville, earned Album of the Year and Best Country Band honors at the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards. Expect soulful, blues-leaning country made for boot-stomping, along with the genre-bending spirit that has seen the group open for national touring acts such as Charles Wesley Godwin, Chris Janson, Cole Swindell, and Parmalee.
