The Rustic Mechanicals present William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew at the Venue of Merging Arts (VOMA) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, as part of the 2026 Howl at the Moon Tour. Representatives from Seven Hearts Project will be on hand to share their work, which as of late 2025 includes sponsoring more than 500 spay and neuter procedures for dogs and cats. It is a day focused on cars, community, and doing good.

Parishioners of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Blairsville offer a free laundry outreach that has supported families for more than a decade, welcoming anyone who is facing financial strain, whether it happens regularly or only once in a while. Volunteers are easy to spot in red shirts that say Laundry Love or black shirts that read Laundry is Liturgy. The effort partners with the E&F Norge Laundromat and typically takes place on the second Sunday each month unless that day is a holiday. When needed, other times can often be arranged by request.
