Meet Loaf
Annville · Allen Theatre, 36 E Main St
Read moreRead lessA tribute concert reviving the music and theatrical spirit of Meat Loaf with faithful performances and dramatic staging. The show salutes Bat Out of Hell, the 1977 debut written by Jim Steinman and performed by Michael Lee Aday, a release that has sold 43 million copies worldwide and earned 14-times platinum certification. Reflecting his actor-before-singer roots, the set often includes highlights from The Rocky Horror Picture Show such as Hot Patootie and Time Warp delivered with precision. The performance also honors Steinman’s songwriting legacy with powerhouse selections made famous by other artists, including It’s All Coming Back to Me Now by Celine Dion, Total Eclipse of the Heart and Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler, Dead Ringer for Love with Cher, and Making Love Out of Nothing At All by Air Supply. Look-alike and sound-alike authenticity, wide-ranging male and female operatic lead vocals, and grand theatrical moments combine for an evening filled with signature anthems from across the Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman catalog.
