Seaport Smalls is a returning children’s programming series offering free, rotating activities designed for ages 0 to 8. The lineup features partners such as Curious Creatures with live animal education, Little Groove with music and art for kids, Spanish Fun Program for Spanish learning, Little Beats and its musical enrichment classes, Jungle Jim’s balloon magic, Mr. Aaron with music, and the Magic Fred Show. Refreshments are available for purchase from Blue Bottle Coffee, Lakon Paris Patisserie, and Pressed Cafe. Some sessions are held indoors at The Paseo, and convenient parking is available at the Harbor Way Garage. Registration on Eventbrite is recommended to receive program updates and schedule changes, though RSVPs or tickets are not required to participate. The full lineup is free and open to the public. Because sessions may take place on grass, bringing a blanket or mat is welcome. Photography and video may occur, and anyone who does not wish to be photographed can notify the photographer. Ocean State Card Con hosts a free, beginner-friendly trading card game event at The Space upstairs every second Sunday. All ages are welcome, and instruction supports both newcomers and returning players who want to learn the basics of Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering in a warm, supportive setting. The day includes a learn-to-play session for Pokémon followed by a separate session for Magic: The Gathering. It is a comfortable way to learn, play, and connect with the local community.

Enjoy a free beginner West Coast Swing lesson on the pedestrian bridge, presented by First on the Floor as part of the Providence Fitness in the Parks series. This gathering takes place on the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge.

Music Bingo takes over the Torpedo Lounge with a game that swaps numbers for songs. Listen, mark your card, and compete for prizes and bragging rights while you eat, sip, and relax with friends. Experience a summertime mini market in the Shri Yoga parking lot in Pawtucket, featuring a variety of local producers. The market accepts Fresh Bucks with SNAP/EBT and Bonus Bucks, as well as WIC FMNP and Senior FMNP. Under the Sun Farm offers a weekly produce CSA available for pickup at the market. Free parking is available on site. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Pawtucket-Central Falls transit center and can be reached by the Route 72 bus with a short walk from the stop.

This park-keeping session at Blackstone Park focuses on seasonal care of trails, trees, and slopes. Volunteers will remove knotweed re-sprouts after a successful season of control, cut back bittersweet and greenbrier to free young trees, stabilize steep areas with branches, install trail steps, and spruce up park edges by trimming shrubs and clearing invasive plants. If possible, bring gloves, a lopper, a hand pruner, a small shovel, or a small pruning saw. Additional tools and gloves will be available.

WaterFire Providence presents a full lighting to honor the 100th anniversary of United Way of Rhode Island at WaterFire - Waterplace Park in the center of Providence. The event features onshore programming with vendors and performers, along with a complete lighting display. Attendees can contribute their own light to the night as part of the celebration.
