Albums like Warm Strangers, Dreaming Through the Noise, Inland Territory, and Aims trace a path from string-rich intimacy to quiet jazz textures to expansive ambition to luminous electronics. She has also written for the stage as composer of The Fourth Messenger, and echoes of adventurous craftsmen like Paul Simon and Tori Amos can be heard without mistaking her for anyone else. Beyond music, she pursued graduate studies and climate work with the University of Michigan’s Erb Institute, McKinsey’s sustainability practice, and the nonprofit Delterra, while growing her family. A longtime favorite at Slater Park, the band returns with lively pop covers delivered in its own style and full of energy. This free 90 minute show takes place on the stage in front of Daggett Farm and Len’s Hot Dog And Seafood Haven in Slater Memorial Park. During the performances, the Parks and Recreation Division will collect canned goods and other nonperishable items to benefit the Blackstone Valley Food Center, which works to address hunger in the region. If weather threatens, performances may be relocated to the Slater Park Pavilion.
