The Mediator StageThe Del McCoury Band
Rooted in a family tradition that helped shape modern bluegrass, this performance draws on the legacy of Del McCoury and the road-seasoned chops his sons honed while playing by his side in the Del McCoury Band. Mandolinist Ronnie McCoury and banjo player Rob McCoury grew up inside the music, mastering the classic sound while learning how to push it into new territory with creativity and precision. Their circle of collaborators reflects that wide view of the genre. Fiddler Christian Ward stepped in after Jason Carter pursued a solo path, with Alan Bartram on bass and Cody Kilby on guitar completing a lineup of instrumental standouts, each recognized at least once by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Along the way they have shared stages or projects with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Allman Brothers Band, improvisational leaders Phish, and genre-bridger Keller Williams, and they have appeared at gatherings like the Wanee Festival and Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam. An early jam with the Lee Boys introduced many new listeners to a high-energy mix of sacred steel, rhythm and blues, and bluegrass. Other milestones include work with Dierks Bentley, onstage fireworks with String Cheese Incident and Phish, a full album with Keller Williams, and the Grateful Ball, which recasts the Grateful Dead’s music through a bluegrass lens. Onstage, the music can be acoustic or plugged in, always grounded in tradition and driven by spontaneous interplay. Their shows move confidently between contemporary ideas and timeless standards, resonating with audiences across generations. A standout set at DelFest drew praise from Rolling Stone, underscoring a reputation for performances that blend finesse, power, and a forward-looking spirit.

Stage entertainment features @heather.rose.drag, with the night’s soundtrack by @_hallofmirrors_, @dj_azrael_413, @dj.gabriell, and @dj.faust.pvd. Browse dark creations from @nothingswhatitseams and @metalweavers_creations. Moments will be captured by @Lux_Luminous, and the flyer image highlights @mothgrimoire. Dress code encourages creativity with a minimum requirement of all black. Amica Mutual PavilionMEASURE FOR MEASURE, Shakespeare's Darkest Comedy
Burbage Theatre Co caps its 14th Season with the 21st century Rhode Island premiere of William Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, directed by the company’s artistic director Jeff Church and staged at the Wendy Overly Studio Theatre. When Duke Vincentio steps away from Vienna and leaves the severe Angelo in charge, a young man is condemned, and his sister Isabella’s plea for mercy sparks a web of disguises and negotiations. The story peels back layers of hypocrisy, tests ideals of virtue, and weighs justice against compassion. Long regarded as one of Shakespeare’s darkest comedies, it probes power, morality, and the uneasy gap between public righteousness and private desire.
Wendy Overly Studio TheatreWomen’s Health Retreat – Aging Successfully
This three-day women’s health retreat at Salt Water Farm Cooking School explores how to age well through the lens of functional medicine. Led by Carrie Levine, MSN, CNM, IFMCP, a certified nurse midwife and functional medicine practitioner, the program focuses on extending health span by uncovering root causes of imbalance and prioritizing lifestyle and nutrition as foundational care. Participants will examine many facets of aging well, including physical vitality with attention to bone strength, mobility and energy, hormone transitions such as menopause and life after, metabolism, weight and truly restorative sleep, the connection between the gut and the brain with strategies to reduce inflammation through food and daily habits, emotional resilience with tools for navigating stress, anxiety and grief while fostering calm and joy, support for cognitive and cardiovascular health in midlife and beyond, and the role of purpose, community, creativity and gratitude in overall wellbeing. Core functional medicine tools are woven throughout, including a personal health timeline, a systems-based matrix and a symptom questionnaire, helping you see your health story differently and track change over time. Discussion may also include careful use of supplements or medications when appropriate, always aiming to restore healthy function, and, as time allows, an overview of advanced testing such as cardiovascular, genetic and aging-related markers to guide personalized care. Each day features a seasonal, health-supportive lunch prepared by Salt Water Farm that reinforces the day’s concepts, and recipes are provided so you can make the dishes at home. To deepen the experience, participants are encouraged to read Carrie Levine’s book, Whole Women Health, in advance.
