    Scott Low

Home Team BBQ, 126 Williman St, Charleston · verified Jul 31
    See details

At Home Team BBQ-Downtown, Southern songwriter Scott Low brings music that blends blues grit with folk storytelling and the unhurried touch of a river guide. His recent releases Struttin’ Round Town (2025) and The Appalachian Blues (2024) tap into the rural South, pairing rough-hewn guitar, smoldering vocals, and lived-in lyrics that move from swaggering grooves to bare acoustic confessionals. After winning the 2025 Atlanta Blues Challenge, he presents Grateful Blues in full, as heard on Grateful Dead XM, honoring Jerry Garcia. Ranked among the top ten acoustic blues albums of 2025, it salutes the meeting place of traditional blues and psychedelic Americana. The performance reimagines blues standards favored by the Grateful Dead and offers fresh takes on Dead originals, fusing raw Delta textures with an improvisational spirit.
