A free, intermediate, social-paced road cycling series focused on building endurance and strength. Rides start at Cycology Bicycles and are led by a ride guide. The route and pace are set by the guide and the group, typically covering 30 to 40 miles at an average of 15 to 17 mph with regrouping along the way. Plans may change or be canceled due to weather or road conditions, so check Cycology Bicycles’ Facebook page for updates. Participants should already be comfortable riding on roads with car traffic and understand safe road-riding practices. Gain practical skills to recognize crisis warning signs, ask plainly about suicide, respond with compassion, and help someone move toward safety in this four-hour CARE training developed by CONTACT Care Line. The course content was created with guidance from CONTACT suicide prevention professionals and University of Tennessee faculty, and is supported by the Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee. Designed for community members, the session is approachable and focused on real-world conversations to build confidence in difficult moments. There is no cost to attend, and lunch is provided.
