Sabores Ancestrales / Ancestral Flavors, presented by Centro Cultural Aztlan, is a community art exhibition that honors culinary heritage, family recipes, and the connections created through food. Artwork depicting families gathered in the kitchen, ingredients ground in a molcajete, and lovingly rendered home-cooked meals evokes the comfort of shared traditions and the spirit of community. Lead artist Edna Lugo has brought together work by more than 25 artists for this showcase. Lugo is a Mexican American cultural artist whose practice spans stained glass, paper mache, silversmithing, and jewelry.
