Young athletes can put their soccer skills to the test at a community challenge from the Knights of Columbus, open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14. Participants compete within their own age and gender groups, and winners advance to the District level. The event takes place at the Prince of Peace Athletic Field, and registration is free. Dog lovers and families can take a refreshing dip alongside their dogs at a fundraiser supporting the Texas Pool Foundation. The Texas Pool provides a playful setting for swimming with canine companions, along with treats, a souvenir photo, giveaways, and vendors. Local animal rescue groups will be present. At Irving Arts Center, the tale of Sleeping Beauty is retold in ballet, pairing time-honored technique with contemporary lighting. Six local dancers perform in glow-in-the-dark costumes that turn each step into a vivid play of color and light. The production has no intermission. Seating is first come within each zone, and late arrivals are not permitted. The venue is ADA compliant. Recommended for ages 5 and up, with an adult required for anyone under 16.

Texas Dynamix Gymnastics Royse City lights up for a glow-in-the-dark celebration under black lights, where bright white and neon clothing shines. Participants ages 4 and older can enjoy games, inflatable bounce houses, and time to explore the gym freely. Pizza and beverages are included. Promoted as the largest event of the year, it is designed for energetic fun from start to finish.

This childbirth education class welcomes expectant parents in any birth setting, whether at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital, and is suitable for first timers as well as growing families. It focuses on building knowledge, practical tools, and confidence so participants feel prepared and empowered for labor and birth. The experience features evidence based guidance, interactive learning rather than long lectures, and time to slow down, ask questions, and create a plan that aligns with personal values and goals. It also fosters connection between you and your birth partner and supports both those aiming for an unmedicated labor and anyone wanting to understand all available options.
