EPISD Parent Support Group - Realities of Autism
This EPISD Parent Support Group session is designed for parents and caregivers and spotlights the Realities of Autism with Partners Resource Network’s PEN Project. It offers a welcoming space to foster learning, connections, and community while supporting confident advocacy. The session takes place at the EPISD Special Education Center. These international meetups offer a friendly way to connect with new people, make local and global friends, practice English, and have some fun. The atmosphere is casual and focused on easy mingling, with conversations primarily in English and a bit of the local language as well. If you would like help finding someone to chat with, a conversation matchmaking option is available. Advance registration on the organizer’s website is required. The venue asks each attendee to purchase at least one drink, and outside food or beverages are not permitted. Please respect the venue and its staff, and keep interactions kind, open minded, and respectful. Anyone who does not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave or banned without notice. Photos and videos may be taken during the gathering. If you prefer not to appear, let the photographer know. Keep an eye on your belongings, as the organizers are not responsible for lost items.
