    Jeff Ruby brings a free solo acoustic set of original songs to The Red Brick Tavern. The show is open to all ages. An Indiana-born troubadour, Ruby writes from a lifetime of experience, shaping narratives about hard living, social issues, and resilience with a candid voice and quiet grace. Raised on a farm in rural Indiana, he gravitated toward the mood of Seattle grunge and the big melodies of Brit-pop, teaching himself guitar along the way. Early stock market success in college fueled reckless drinking and a shift toward a business degree, which left him burned out and eager to return to music. In 2004 he moved to Orange Beach, Alabama, gave up drinking, started writing songs, and progressed from open mics to paid gigs. He later settled in Nashville with a guitar and a small batch of songs, released his debut EP Beyond The Pale in 2010, and has kept up a steady pace of performances and albums ever since.
