Building on the monthly Civilian Trauma and Stop the Bleed class, it teaches how to use what is on hand in real-world, low-resource situations at home, in a vehicle, at work, or outdoors. Participants start with an interactive review of core trauma concepts, then practice safe movement and extraction techniques such as drags, carries, and improvised litters made from everyday items. The training includes creating and applying improvised tourniquets and pressure dressings while learning what is effective, what is not, and why. Teams then run scenario drills that simulate unpredictable conditions from initial response through a handoff to higher care, encouraging a shift from ideal gear thinking to a practical make it work approach so action is fast and effective. Designed for graduates of the monthly trauma class who want to advance their skills, it also welcomes first responders, coaches, instructors, athletic and training staff, workplace safety leads, outdoor enthusiasts, parents, travelers, and anyone who wants to be prepared when gear is missing. Instruction is provided by Robert Klenka, a Nationally and State Certified EMT, Texas License to Carry for First Responders instructor, Bleeding Control (B-Con) and Emergency Care and Safety Institute certified instructor, Tactical Medical Solutions Associate Trainer, Texas State Certified SWAT Medic graduate, Texas Licensed Level 4 Armed Security Personal Protection Officer, and C-TECC Recognized Education Partner.
