A buoy marked course simulates race conditions on an approximately 750 meter loop, and swimmers can complete as many laps as they wish during the session. All workouts are supported by Kayak Power. Early in the season the water can be chilly, making a wetsuit helpful, while later season conditions typically become too warm for one. Non-members are welcome with registration. For members, participation is included with membership, and non-members pay $20 per swim. A separate state park entry fee applies. A transition bike ride immediately after the swim is available, and anyone planning to ride should have bike gear staged before getting in the water.
