This exhibit brings together art, science, and inventive design through 14 life size dinosaur sculptures crafted from recycled metal. Families can set the creatures in motion using mechanisms like levers and pulleys, as well as remote controls, creating a playful way to explore movement and simple machines. San Antonio Zoo transforms into Zoorassic Park presented by Bank of Texas, a limited-time prehistoric adventure featuring twenty-two towering animatronic dinosaurs set among the zoo’s resident animals. Come face to face with a roaring T. Rex, meet the gaze of a Velociraptor, and take in the size of a Triceratops. Around every turn, larger-than-life encounters create photo-worthy moments the whole family can enjoy. The all-new Congo Falls gorilla habitat adds even more to the experience, and admission to both Zoorassic Park and Congo Falls is included with zoo admission. Stay comfortable in air-conditioned viewing areas and dining locations across the park, including Friedrich Aquarium, Brewer Ocean Conservation Lab, Reptile House, Hippo Viewing Cave, the Kim Lewis Family Foundation Rainforest Oasis at Congo Falls, the Colonel Frederick C. Hixon Bird House, and Discovery PLAYce. The Project Selva 4D Theater is available for an additional fee. Food and drink options include Beastro Restaurant and Starbucks, and Cool Zones presented by Beluga Air help keep things refreshing. Kids can splash and build sandcastles at The Riverbank, a water and sandy beach play area with a shallow stream for wading.

Hemisfair partners with the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum for a recurring Story Time that blends reading with creativity and learning. On the first Tuesday of each month, SAAACAM reads a book, then a craft inspired by the story highlights science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Each edition invites participants to explore ideas from the book through a project that keeps the story going.
