San Antonio Zoo transforms into Zoorassic Park presented by Bank of Texas, a limited-time prehistoric adventure featuring twenty-two towering animatronic dinosaurs set among the zoo’s resident animals. Come face to face with a roaring T. Rex, meet the gaze of a Velociraptor, and take in the size of a Triceratops. Around every turn, larger-than-life encounters create photo-worthy moments the whole family can enjoy. The all-new Congo Falls gorilla habitat adds even more to the experience, and admission to both Zoorassic Park and Congo Falls is included with zoo admission. Stay comfortable in air-conditioned viewing areas and dining locations across the park, including Friedrich Aquarium, Brewer Ocean Conservation Lab, Reptile House, Hippo Viewing Cave, the Kim Lewis Family Foundation Rainforest Oasis at Congo Falls, the Colonel Frederick C. Tejano Legacy: Another American Origin Story presents a wide-ranging exhibition at the Briscoe that explores the history, culture, resilience, and enduring influence of Tejanos across the American West and beyond. Featuring art, historical objects, music, and narrative displays, it honors generations of Tejano heritage and identity by bringing their stories into vivid focus. Related programs, events, and celebrations are planned in connection with the exhibition, and Briscoe members have access to an exclusive preview event.

Handmade smoked burgers take the spotlight at Harmon’s Barbecue for the Monday special. Each burger begins with lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayo, and can be customized with additions from the menu. Add slow smoked brisket or sausage, and include bacon and cheese for a hearty brisket bacon cheeseburger. A vegetarian option is available. This special is offered only on Mondays. Chapel Hill offers a free pantry on Tuesdays, providing groceries at no cost to households in need. Capacity is limited to 75 families per day, so arriving early is encouraged. Line forms at the church’s side entrance on Evandale. When doors open, registration begins and each household receives a number. A current Texas photo ID is required. An intake coordinator starts the paperwork, then a registration volunteer completes it. If eligible, participants will be directed to drive to the front of the church, open the trunk, and volunteers will load a cart of food. Service is available once every thirty days per family. The pantry does not operate during the week of New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas.

Hemisfair partners with the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum for a recurring Story Time that blends reading with creativity and learning. On the first Tuesday of each month, SAAACAM reads a book, then a craft inspired by the story highlights science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Each edition invites participants to explore ideas from the book through a project that keeps the story going.
