Set out on a calm, meandering creek where tree canopies cast shifting light on the water and birdsong fills the air. This peaceful paddle pairs exploration with a search for fossilized shark teeth, remnants from an ancient sea that once covered the area. Along the rocky banks and in the sediment, these small treasures wait to be found, turning each stop into a moment of discovery. This ticketed outing spends a few hours floating and pausing to dig for fossils. It is designed for kids, beginners, and novices, and includes narration along the way. Participants may continue exploring for the rest of the day with their own gear. Ice cold water is provided. Expect gentle flow and water about 3 to 4 feet deep on a low, slow route covering roughly a mile or less. Paddleboards, kayaks, or a canoe are suitable. The launch is a gentle grassy slope about 100 yards from parking, and parking is roadside with no fee. Bring a kitchen colander and a small garden spade for sifting.
