There is plenty to discover, from treats and toys to accessories and pet services, all designed to make a fun outing with your pup. Vendor applications are open for businesses offering dog-related products or services, including pet treats, accessories, boutiques, trainers, groomers, photographers, rescues, veterinarians, and artists. The vendor fee is $35. To create a diverse shopping experience, participants will be selected based on their offerings, with efforts to limit duplicates. Only the official application will be used, and Downtown Denison Inc. will not ask vendors to register or pay through comments, private messages, or outside websites. Pet policy guidelines apply. Dogs only, and they must be friendly, well behaved, and kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and for cleaning up after them, and aggressive dogs are not permitted. Glide by shaded banks under a leafy canopy, breathe in the scent of wildflowers, and listen for birds as you move through a waterway connected to an ancient sea. Fossil shark teeth and other remnants rest in the sediment, and the thrill comes from spotting and sifting for these small pieces of deep history. Expect calm water about 3 to 4 feet deep, a low and slow route where the group may travel a mile or less, and plenty of time to explore. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes are welcome. Launch is from a gentle grassy slope about 100 yards from roadside parking with no fee. Ice cold water is provided, and the paddle is narrated.
