    OMNi - Regular game

Community Fieldhouse, 2007 Riley Fuzzel Rd, Spring
    See details

At Community Fieldhouse, OMNi’s regular pickup soccer session brings together players of all levels for high energy play centered on community, competition, and fun. The format adapts to attendance so everyone gets meaningful time on the field. When 24 players or fewer take part, the session follows an 11 versus 11 style on a full field with rotating substitutions and balanced teams. If more than 24 arrive, organizers typically form three to four squads of eight or nine players and run rotating matchups and mini games to keep the tempo quick, increase touches, and limit downtime. Matches are played to three goals or 15 minutes. Clear guidelines promote safety and respect. Competitive play is encouraged, but disrespect, harassment, and fighting are not allowed. Anyone who starts a fight is removed immediately, faces a minimum two game suspension, and may be banned for the season depending on severity. Slide tackles directly at an opponent are prohibited, though sliding to block or intercept the ball is permitted as long as it does not create dangerous contact. Excessive body checking without an attempt to play the ball is not allowed, while fair shoulder to shoulder challenges on the ball are acceptable. Tackles from behind are forbidden. These infractions can lead to yellow cards, and serious or reckless challenges may draw a red card, especially if a clear scoring chance is denied. Substitutions may only occur during stoppages, and teams are expected to manage them in an organized way. A yellow card serves as a warning for unsafe or unsportsmanlike play. Two yellows equal a red, which removes the player and leaves the team short handed. A straight red results in immediate removal and possible additional suspension after review. Teams should maintain enough players for safe, competitive action. For coed sessions, the minimum is six total players with at least one female player on the field at all times. Players can expect a friendly yet competitive environment, organized rotations, and balanced teams. Sessions may take place on indoor or outdoor turf depending on the session, and the atmosphere blends music, fitness, community, and soccer. The focus extends beyond the game itself, emphasizing building friendships, staying active, competing together, and strengthening a soccer community that welcomes former players, current league competitors, weekend regulars, and those returning to the sport.
