A night of burgers and blues is back at Sparky's Bar and Grill, pairing tasty bites with live music. The hosts are David and Matthew Nerbak, along with Eric Belrose and Larry Vigneault.

Experience Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent masterwork The Passion of Joan of Arc with a live, improvised score from Freeway Clyde. The film follows Joan through the tense hours of her trial before her execution, exploring profound faith alongside the workings of power. Dreyer draws viewers into her perspective with stylized lighting, interlinked sets, and strikingly intimate close-ups, while Renée Falconetti’s renowned performance captures both suffering and transcendence. Freeway Clyde was formed by Tony Award winning composer and arranger Michael Chorney after years devoted to the score of the Broadway musical Hadestown. Seeking a shared, ensemble approach, he gathered some of Vermont’s most intuitive players to create a group that thrives on collective music making.

This event is all ages. Sweden-based, Australian-born indie folk artist Hazlett heads back on tour following the success of his latest full-length, "last night you said you missed me". He aims to make listeners feel part of the journey, growing and finding their way alongside the music. Known for warm acoustic layers and unadorned ballads, his performances create close connection in settings from intimate rooms to larger stages. Expect songs like "doing my best", "Blame The Moon", and "queen of the season", with writing that touches on self-preservation, distance, yearning, and quiet hope. Grand Point North 2026 brings a full weekend of live music to Burlington’s waterfront in Vermont. Friday features Grace Potter, Portugal. The Man, The Devil Makes Three, All The Rivers, and the Jesse Taylor Band. Saturday continues with Grace Potter, Dawes, Trampled By Turtles, Maggie Rose, Frankie White, and Rose Asteroid. Sunday wraps up with Dark Star Orchestra and Dogs In A Pile. It is a three day celebration by the water with a stacked roster across each day.

Old Crow Medicine Show brings the Union Made Tour to Ben & Jerry’s Concerts on The Green at Shelburne Museum with special guest Palmyra. Known for starting out as street performers in 1998 across New York state and into Canada, the band was invited by Doc Watson to play MerleFest after being discovered in Boone, North Carolina. Since then they have become members of the Grand Ole Opry, earned two Grammy Awards for Remedy and Big Easy Express, seen their single “Wagon Wheel” reach double platinum status, and celebrated a gold certification for their debut album O.C.M.S. Their most recent release, Jubilee, arrived in 2023 and received a Grammy nomination. Palmyra, formed in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley by Teddy Chipouras, Mānoa Bell, and Sasha Landon, blends traditional instrumentation with influences that span folk, soul, post rock, and emo while writing about themes such as grief, identity, and coming of age. Their debut full length album, Restless, is available on Oh Boy Records. Children 12 and under receive free admission and do not need tickets. Glass, pets, and outside alcohol are not allowed. A festive day in the park celebrates Latin American music, flavors, dance, culture, and art, presented by BCA in collaboration with the Vermont Professionals of Color Network, Maiz Vargas Sandoval, Love Burlington, and Church Street Marketplace. The celebration begins with a community parade featuring Sambatucada, then continues with a full slate of performances and cultural highlights. The lineup includes DJ Amanda, Cintia Lovo, Los Songoros, Sonido Mal Maiz, and Alma Picante, with appearances by Laura Sanchez-Parkinson and Ray Vega. Community spotlights feature the Vermont Professionals of Color Network and UVM Alianza de Latines. Traditional dance is part of the program, including Mexican folkloric dance with Anna with DJ Jah Red, and Costa Rican folkloric dance with Lily with additional sets by DJ Jah Red, plus a Snow Motion dance class. Support for the celebration comes from Alchemist Brewery, the Vermont Professionals of Color Network, the City of Burlington's Office of Racial Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Burlington City Arts, Hotel Vermont, Maiz Vargas Sandoval, and Vermont community members. The Northeast Street Rod Nationals brings classic cars to Champlain Valley Exposition, with Rust and Ruin adding their classic sound at the fairgrounds. The event pairs classic cars with music from the band in one setting.

Red Square hosts a performance by Left Eye Jump, a Burlington, Vermont blues band steeped in classic styles from Chicago, Texas, New Orleans, California, and the Delta, drawing on the sounds of the 1940s through the 1960s. Expect gritty slide guitar explorations alongside jump and swing in the spirit of T-Bone Walker, all grounded in the conviction that the blues connects with everyone and fuels much of today’s music. Formed in 1997 by musicians with deep roots in the tradition, the group continues to feature skilled players committed to the deep blues. Sets are crafted to burst with West Side Chicago drive, ease into soul searching slow numbers, then lift the room with Texas flavored funk and a New Orleans rumba boogie. Guitarist, vocalist, and bandleader Dennis Willmott brings a lifetime in the music, from early inspiration by Leadbelly and Mance Lipscomb to formative encounters with Lightning Hopkins, Sonny Terry, and Brownie McGhee, through coffeehouse performances in Boston and a later turn to electric blues that led to the creation of this band.

Open to attendees of all ages, this appearance features Violet Grohl, an artist from Los Angeles who has been steeped in music since childhood. She grew up singing along to Beatles records in her room, wrote her first song at 12, and has performed on stages both intimate and large while continually expanding her musical range and language. A devoted student of the craft, her notebooks brim with poetry and influences that cross genres. She later connected with producer Justin Raisen, known for work with Charli xcx and Kim Gordon, leading to a prolific collaboration that shaped the songs on her debut album, Be Sweet To Me, released globally.

GRAMMY winner Madison Cunningham appears for an all-ages event. Her third Verve Forecast album, Ace, created with co-producer Robbie Lackritz, known for work with Feist, Rilo Kiley, Bahamas, and Peach Pit, traces the journey from a breakup through heartbreak to new love across fourteen songs. Building on the momentum of Revealer from 2022, which earned the GRAMMY for Best Folk Album, Ace pivots from sketches and observations to deeply felt, personal storytelling. Shaped after a bout of writer’s block, it brings piano forward and unfolds with the sweep of a mountain, rich in emotion and clarity. The first single, My Full Name, earned praise from PASTE for lyrics that feel both expansive and intimate. This appearance centers an artist devoted to honesty, craft, and songs she truly treasures.
