Green Lake Pickleball offers free welcome courts for beginners, with space also set aside for intermediate players to learn and play in a relaxed environment. Pickleball Ambassadors are on hand to cover basics such as rules, scoring, and court etiquette, and no prior experience is needed. It is a drop-in setup whether you arrive solo or with friends, and everyone is welcome. Look for orange traffic cones at the eastern-most courts near the road. Sessions may be canceled if it rains.

At Sea Monster Lounge, American Hammond organ player Joe Doria leads a performance with some of the city’s finest musicians. Doria plays across many styles, has backed Seattle solo artists, and performs with Seattle-based groups including McTuff, the Joe Doria Trio, The Drunken Masters, Skerik's Syncopated Taint Septet, and AriSawkaDoria, with some of these projects touring nationally. The session is free to attend, and donations are welcome.

Dimsum Dialogue hosts a social support group at Oasis Tea Zone created for and led by AAPI LGBTQ+ community members. The gathering is facilitated by Edsel Blanche, MSW, and offers a welcoming space for conversation and connection. Admission is free, and bubble tea is provided at no cost. Monthly guest speakers are featured, and there is a recurring opportunity to receive a $50 Safeway gift card. This program is made possible through the Gender Based Violence Referral Program, sponsored by The Filipino Community of Seattle, with additional support from Northwest Harvest and A|M Consulting & Clinical Services.

Pike Place Market comes alive after hours with a free evening series that spotlights local art, live music, food, and creativity once the daytime bustle quiets down. Guests can explore galleries that stay open late, discover handmade goods, and enjoy food and drinks, including a beer garden, while performances unfold beneath the iconic Public Market Clock and Sign. The Rabbit Box curates shows on the main stage and brings interactive art moments and pop up activations throughout the Market. There are chances to connect directly with artists, musicians, makers, and small business owners, offering a welcoming snapshot of the community that powers the Market. Presented in partnership with the Seattle Office of Economic Development and The Rabbit Box, and part of the Downtown Seattle Art Walk, it also pairs perfectly with an evening of gallery hopping nearby.

A PG-rated, family-friendly film is presented on a large screen in the Lower Hall. Free public access is made possible with support from King County 4Culture, and sponsorship is provided by Caitlin Spence at Lake & Company Real Estate.

Artists at the Center presents a free performance by The Rhapsody Project House Band at the Mural Amphitheatre. The set blends blues, soul, folk, and heritage traditions and offers a preview of selections to be shared by and for the community at the third annual Heritage Ball. The ensemble is a professional group drawn from the nonprofit’s board, staff, and students, featuring Briar on vocals, Ari Whidbey on electric guitar, Lakshmi Sivvakani on banjo, Juan Velasquez on bass, Jed Crisologo on guitar, and John Oliver III on drums. Artists at the Center is a multi-year collaboration led by Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Center, supported by the Uptown Arts & Culture Coalition and neighboring communities, and made possible through a 10-year grant from Climate Pledge Arena and the Seattle Kraken. The program highlights both emerging and established talent on the Seattle Center campus, creating opportunities to reach new audiences, showcase work, and advance artistic careers. Visitors encounter pop-up performances throughout the year. Artist selection emphasizes equity and social justice to ensure representation for underserved and rising artists, and programming spans music, dance, theater, demonstrations, and multidisciplinary work.
