19 SPOTS LEFT! Dec 14th - Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

Green Bay · Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley, 2929 Allied St

Learn to create a chunky knit blanket using only your hands in a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop that also welcomes experienced crafters. Every participant completes a blanket to take home in a blanket bag and leaves with a new skill. Afterward, an email with step-by-step instructions and yarn shopping tips will help support future projects. Projects start as lap blankets and often grow to full-body size. You choose a looser or tighter knit, so dimensions vary. The tightest style typically measures about 45 by 42 inches, and most turn out larger. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. Two pricing options are available. The $65 option includes choosing from the yarn colors brought to the workshop. The $85 option allows you to preselect one or two colors in a premium yarn that is softer and thicker, with many color choices and a tendency to hide small imperfections. Participants choosing the $85 option receive an email about four weeks before the workshop to make color selections. Registration for the $85 option closes four weeks prior if not sold out, and the $65 option closes two weeks prior if not sold out. Apple Pay may not work with the booking system. There are 18 spots available. Participants ages 12 and up can complete a blanket independently. If the crafting isn’t your thing but you still want the experience, an optional $35 add-on is available to have your blanket finished in advance and ready at the workshop. This add-on must be purchased at least two weeks beforehand and is only available with an $85 registration. For last-minute changes such as illness or schedule conflicts, email downtimewithdawn@gmail.com to ask about possible accommodations if time allows.
