Chapter Club
Chapter Club offers an easygoing, quiet, and fun read aloud time for children in grades K through 6. Longtime volunteer Mr. Petersilie has led the club for more than 30 years and brings engaging storytelling to every book. Participants choose what to read by vote, and each gathering begins with a brief recap so everyone can follow the story. Midway through, a snack is provided by Mr. Petersilie. Kids are welcome to listen, work on homework, color, or do crafts with supplies available at the library. New readers can start at any point and everyone is welcome.
La Crescent Public LibraryJULY Open Hours
Open Hours provide a chance to learn about the organization’s mission, explore volunteer opportunities, and consider fostering. There are many cats and kittens available to meet on site, with a focus on helping them find loving homes this summer. A couple of animals are in foster care, and those interested in those pets can connect by phone or email for more information.
North Woods International School Garden Party
This Garden Party takes place in the North Woods International School Garden, where Ms. Jessica leads interactive, garden themed activities. Attendees will also have time to explore the garden during the event. There is no admission charge and anyone may attend.
