This blood drive supports Rock River Valley Blood Center, which provides the entire blood supply for 14 hospitals in the area. Hospitals served include Beloit Health System, Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, FHN Memorial Hospital, Javon Bea Hospital Riverside, Javon Bea Hospital Rockton, Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Harvard, Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Walworth, Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic in Crystal Lake, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rochelle Community Hospital, UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital, UW Health Belvidere Hospital, and UW Health Carbone Cancer Center in Rockford. To meet patient needs, the center strives to collect over 800 units of blood each week. Donors may schedule an appointment, and walk-ins are also welcome.

This free community event at the Elkhorn Bandshell features a beginner friendly swing dance lesson with Sir Nathan from Celebrate Swing, followed by live music from the Ladies Must Swing Big Band. Take part in a calm, chair-based yoga session set on the outdoor labyrinth at St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church. Surrounded by nature, this free community gathering invites participants to stretch, relax, and connect in a welcoming environment. All experience levels are encouraged, and chairs will be available, so no previous yoga background is necessary. If it rains, the session will be cancelled, with updates shared on the church’s Facebook page.

Two high energy bands power an all 80s celebration at Friends of the Phoenix Park Bandshell in Delavan, Wisconsin. The Electric Cars deliver a tribute to The Cars, with special guest Tragic Blonde Vacation spotlighting Women of 80s Rock. The setlist draws from favorites by The Cars, Blondie, The Go-Go’s, Heart, and Pat Benatar. Presented as part of the free Concerts in the Park series.

Families and children are invited to a free Summer Carnival series at Plymouth UCC with crafts, games, activities, and snacks, plus time with friends and neighbors. The festivities take place in the Plymouth UCC parking lot, and look for the tents to spot the event. Everyone is welcome, and there is no cost to take part, whether attending a single day in the series or multiple sessions across the summer.

Glenn Davis & Friends bring a lively mix of Chicago blues and jazz to Music on the Garth, honoring influences like Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf with classic songs rooted in American tradition. The performance is planned for the outdoor labyrinth at St. John in the Wilderness, with a move inside the church if rain arrives.
