Deer District hosts a vibrant farmers market managed by Lauryn Wynter Company with support from Deer District BID 53. Each week, more than a hundred vendors gather with farm produce, organic meats and eggs, artisan cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, bakery goods, handmade arts and crafts, and a wide range of ready-to-enjoy foods. Live music and ample seating create a relaxed place to snack, shop, and take a break. The Taste It Tent serves up samples of new offerings, and a dedicated area gives kids games and activities to enjoy. Nearby Deer District businesses are open for brunch or lunch to complement a day at the market. SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Senior Nutritional Vouchers are accepted.

Grace Lutheran Church will participate in Doors Open Milwaukee 2026, welcoming visitors and offering a friendly introduction to the space with help from volunteer greeters. The team is seeking approachable volunteers to say hello and point guests in the right direction, and no prior historical knowledge is required. Free round-trip shuttles for every Brewers home game operate from Jack's. Service begins two hours before first pitch and runs until the end of the second inning, with pickups scheduled 30 minutes after the game ends. Rides are free with a food or drink purchase.

This Student Ensemble Series performance by the University Symphony Orchestra takes place at the Hamel Music Center in the Mead Witter Foundation Concert Hall. This free, all-levels drum circle invites participants to explore rhythm together, with a suggested $5 donation. Music is created on the spot through group improvisation rather than a set plan. Hand drums such as frame or hoop drums, djembes, congas, bongos, doumbeks, darbukas, and ashikos are welcome, along with supporting percussion like maracas, claves, tambourines, gongs, tongue drums, bells, singing bowls, and rainsticks. There is no designated leader. A facilitator may start a simple beat and tempo, then the piece grows naturally so everyone can add their voice and enjoy healthy creative expression. Research on group drumming points to a range of benefits, including reduced stress and tension, improvements in attention and timing, elevated mood, a safe outlet for emotion, greater mindfulness, and stronger social connection. The event information also shares background on Ken Talaga, a lifelong musician who has participated in and facilitated many drum circles, incorporates Native American style flute into his music making, and advocates for the therapeutic value of sound.

Seniors are invited to a free lifestyle, health, and home expo at Southwest YMCA. Expect complimentary parking and admission, no cost health screenings, and free food along with prizes and giveaways. YMCA membership is not required to attend, and all are welcome. Registration is optional, and those who register in advance receive an extra entry in the giveaways.

At Lake Geneva House of Music, the night shifts into DJ and karaoke once the live entertainment wraps. DJ Kali drives the beats while anyone ready to sing can step up, make requests, and keep the dance floor moving until close. On the first and third Fridays, a free comedy set leads into the music and open mic fun. The kitchen is open earlier in the evening, making it easy to grab a bite before taking the spotlight. For more than a decade, this community market has supported local farmers, food producers, and artisans while fostering sustainability. Each weekend, families can explore an open-air marketplace in the heart of Tosa, with fresh produce, live music, outdoor yoga, kids programs, cooking demonstrations, and more. SNAP/QUEST shoppers may swipe a QUEST card at the Info Booth to receive tokens that work like cash at the market. Unused tokens can be kept for future visits and have no expiration.

Volunteers will help upright, restore, and clean headstones at Spring Grove Cemetery. This ongoing restoration effort is in its sixth year. New waivers must be signed before work begins, and project leads Mark Wendorf and Ryan Schroeder will manage this process and guide participants to where help is needed. Not all tasks require heavy lifting, and there is a particular need for headstone cleaning. Jennifer can offer inspiration for those interested in cleaning. Work typically happens on most Saturdays from May through October, weather permitting. Thank you to everyone who has contributed time, effort, or donations to this cause.

The Grove Healing Center celebrates its grand opening with a ribbon cutting, an open house with tours, snacks and refreshments, a raffle, and specials available only during the celebration. Complimentary gentle healing experiences are part of the program, including breathwork guided by Damon Thomas, a cacao ceremony with Emily Fell, a sound bath with Wellspring Sound Collective, and ecstatic dance led by DJ Tink.
