Starry Nights offers a free outdoor concert experience at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, set on the lawn of the Gerlach/Haack Outdoor Theater for an evening of live music in the open air. Starry Nights concerts are free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10 per person supporting this community tradition. Pop-up tents and reserving space in advance are not permitted. In the case of severe weather, the performance may be moved indoors or canceled.

Falls Kids Festival, presented by Ascension, is a free, family-friendly day packed with activities and games for kids of all ages. Enjoy bounce houses, stage performances at the Milwaukee Tool Amphitheater, fire truck tours, the Survive Alive House, and Soccer Shots. There will also be fun stops like a caricature artist, face painting, a root beer garden, games and prizes, and food trucks. The first 300 kids get a free tote bag, and the main stage headline at 3:45 PM is Disney Channel’s Imagination Movers.

Deer District presents a new farmer’s market managed by Lauryn Wynter Company with support from Deer District BID 53. More than 100 vendors take part, including farmers and food makers offering organic and fresh meats, eggs, fruits, vegetables and cheeses, plus baked goods, artisan crafts and live entertainment. Visitors can enjoy complimentary live music, ample seating and a wide range of farm-fresh ingredients alongside ready-to-enjoy dishes. A tasting tent features rotating samples of new foods, and a family area offers games and activities for kids. Deer District tenants are open alongside the market for brunch or lunch. SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Nutrition vouchers are accepted.

Wellness in the Park offers a free community fitness class at Cathedral Square Park, held outdoors. This session features Zumba with Dominique. Bring water and wear weather-appropriate clothing. A signed waiver is required to take part, and the schedule or instructors may change.

The summer concert series returns to the Villa courtyard with live performances by Milwaukee musicians. Settle into the courtyard atmosphere and relax with a drink from Crave Cart while you listen. Admission is free for all attendees, and entry to the museum and gardens is complimentary during Sopra Mare.

Los Mitoteros takes the stage for this show. A happy hour kicks things off, followed by a full night of music, with local food trucks on site and a bar pouring local beer, wine, and summer cocktails. Once an underused spot beneath the freeway, Riverwalk Commons has been reimagined as a lively public place with green space, recreation, and free community events. Proceeds from bar sales help fund ongoing improvements and activities in the space. Support comes from Beer Capitol Distributing Co., with appreciation to Educators Credit Union, Lotza, Radio Milwaukee, and Town Bank.

A Happiness Showcase from The Learning Experience gives families a chance to explore programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-K. Guests can learn about the proprietary curriculum that supports academic, social, emotional, and physical development. Attendees can meet teachers and the leadership team, tour vibrant classrooms and a state-of-the-art learning environment, and see how purposeful play, hands-on learning, and proven educational practices help children learn, grow, and thrive. There will be opportunities to get answers to questions about enrollment, tuition, schedules, and enrichment programs. Children are welcome, and families can attend together. The Learning Experience provides more than childcare by nurturing confidence, essential life skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Corners Summer Movie Series, presented by Aspire Dance Center, returns with free, family-friendly films shown outdoors in Market Square on a 20 foot screen. Each screening includes children’s activities such as visits from favorite princesses, balloon art, face painting, and more. Wood’r Ice and What’s Pop will be on site with cool treats available for purchase. The lineup features titles such as Zootopia 2, Tangled, The Little Rascals, and Elemental.

The Milwaukee Regional Office of the Veterans Benefits Administration will host a VA benefits information table at the South Entrance of the Milwaukee VA Medical Center in building 111. Veterans can connect with the Public Contact Team for one-on-one assistance, get answers about their VA benefits, and explore programs that support homeownership, education, career development, health, and more. If attending in person is not possible, in-person or virtual appointments can be arranged through VA’s Visitor Engagement Reporting Application. This activity is subject to cancellation due to unexpected circumstances.

Washington Park Bandshell hosts a carnival themed edition of Washington Park Wednesdays, a no cost community event with live music and food trucks. The lineup begins with Hot Swing Trio / Swing Chevron, a vintage swing group offering spirited jazz and gypsy swing shaped by the dance hall sounds of the 1930s and 1940s. Los Mitoteros headline with a dynamic Latin performance that blends traditional and contemporary Mexican sounds for a lively, celebratory vibe. Presented by Johnson Financial Group, this Milwaukee tradition returns to Cathedral Square Park with an expanded season of free live music. The summer program embraces the jazz foundation that has defined the series since 1991, while sprinkling in fan-favorite themes spanning blues and swing alongside tributes to Billy Joel and the Grateful Dead, plus a night of goth dance music. Northwest Side Community Development Corporation hosts the 5th Annual Family Skate Night at the MMSD West Basin. MKE Rec will arrive with the Skate Van to provide complimentary roller skate rentals for both kids and adults.
