Warm up with complimentary range balls, practice your short game with putting and chipping, and take part in a putting contest, with a bloody mary bar sponsored by Tito’s available during the pre-round activities. Golfers then head to their carts for a shotgun start, and boxed lunches are provided as play gets underway. Seating on the Terrace is unreserved and available in order of arrival, and if weather is poor the screening is planned to move indoors to der Rathskeller in Memorial Union. Madison Song Circle hosts a weekly singalong at Muso Madison in Madison, Wisconsin. Participants sing from the Rise Up Singing and Rise Again songbooks, drawing from a collection of 2,400 folk and traditional songs spanning the past 100 years. Acoustic musicians of all skill levels are welcome to bring guitars, mandolins, banjos, fiddles, accordions and similar instruments, and play as much or as little as they like. A stand up bass along with some guitars and ukuleles are available on site for participants. The songbooks include chords to support playing along, but they do not provide melody lines.

Participants gather at Cottage Grove Parks & Recreation for a simple, no-fuss puzzle swap. Attendees place the puzzles they brought out for others to see, browse the selection, choose the ones that catch their interest, and head home with a different assortment than they arrived with. There is no tally of how many items are brought or taken, since the collection circulates from month to month and the goal is for everyone to discover something new each time. Explore junk journaling in a relaxed, welcoming setting that turns everyday materials into something beautiful and personal. Participants create custom journals filled with collage, memories and artistic touches using items like old magazines, ticket stubs, scrap paper, fabric, packaging and other found pieces. No experience is required. Bring a notebook or journal, along with everyday ephemera such as receipts, takeout menus, stickers, tickets, wristbands and small fabric scraps, plus any favorite crafting supplies like washi tape and markers.

There will be complimentary live music on The Rock Garden patio. The space features a full service outdoor bar, five outdoor TVs, a large firepit, and bag boards for casual play. A full food menu is available, with service hours that differ on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Awildan hosts a traditional Irish session each Wednesday, a relaxed jam focused on instrumental Celtic dance tunes reminiscent of music circles in Ireland. Instead, it is about capturing the personal narratives you carry, in whatever form feels right. There is no need to arrive with a finished piece. Some days you may read something you have written, and on others you may simply listen, reflect, and take part in the conversation. Together, the group fosters a gentle, supportive space where individual stories can emerge at their own pace.

An open discussion group for people who have faced obstacles and celebrated joys, and who look beyond the closet. A guided foraging walk at Tenney Park with Robin Greenfield invites participants to explore the edible and medicinal plants that grow freely throughout Madison. Robin is spending an entire year gathering every bite of his food and medicine from the wild, skipping grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and even a garden, as a commitment to caring for the Earth. While traveling the country, he shares practical knowledge to help people reconnect with the land and strengthen local foraging communities. During this walk, participants learn to identify more than ten common plants found in the area, how to forage with safety in mind, how to harvest in ways that support plant health, and simple strategies for successful outings. The route is designed to be accessible, typically covering less than a half mile and staying within about ten minutes of the starting point. Meet at the inner playground in Tenney Park. The gathering runs rain or shine. If extreme weather requires a cancellation, an email notice will be sent the day of. A suggested donation of $10 to $40 supports the nonprofit Regeneration, Equity and Justice, and scholarships are available to keep the experience accessible to all.

The Rooftop Sculpture Garden hosts a screening of Gangsterism, a Canadian feature by Isiah Medina with a runtime of 84 minutes. As he wrestles with the budget for his next film, Clem, a director who is also a gangster and played by Mark Bacolcol, sends his artist collaborators after a former associate suspected of leaking. The film served as the Closing Night selection at Chicago’s Onion City Experimental Film Festival. Commentators have noted how it channels collective anxieties surrounding racism and genocide into a reflection on how these forces shape engagement with art and culture, and they have praised Medina’s rigorous, montage-driven editing that moves swiftly through mathematical ideas, ideological inquiry, and genre forms.
