The 5th Annual 1in5K Dyslexia Dash is a family-friendly 5K at Freestone Park that highlights the reality that one in five people face literacy challenges while bringing the community together around dyslexia awareness and support. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, and the atmosphere invites strollers and four-legged companions for a shared experience of connection and solidarity. More than a run, this gathering offers space for dyslexic learners, families, and advocates to meet, share experiences, and amplify understanding. Teams of 30 may nominate a teacher for a $300 reimbursement scholarship toward dyslexia training, giving educators practical tools to identify and support struggling readers and strengthen literacy outcomes for students of all abilities.
