    Kurt Allen Band

Nissi's Entertainment Venue & Event Center, 1455 Coal Creek Dr, Lafayette · verified Aug 7
    Free

Settle in for a night of bourbon, blues, and grooves with the Kurt Allen Band, a national touring outfit. Admission is free, and bourbon or whiskey drinks are one dollar off. For more than a decade, guitarist and songwriter Kurt Allen has mixed raw, old school blues with vintage soul and swampy bayou funk, shaping it into driving blues-rock. His songwriting reflects years of dedication, and his records explore a wide range across the blues spectrum. The latest release, Live From The Red Shed, documents modern blues-rock live from Hutchinson, Kansas. After a pause during 2020 and 2021, he returned to a rigorous road schedule throughout the contiguous United States, and that run yielded a live set where nine tracks spotlight his guitar work, drawing from his catalog along with new and previously unrecorded material for a direct picture of the power of live blues.

    The Wrecklunds

Nissi's Entertainment Venue & Event Center , 1455 Coal Creek Dr. Unit T, Lafayette · verified Aug 7
    Free

Admission is free. Colorado band The Wrecklunds deliver a high-country blend where outlaw country intersects with psychedelic rock, weaving gritty storytelling, rich harmonies, and a vintage-soul feel across a broad mix of styles. Their shows are crafted as immersive journeys as much as concerts. Formed by lifelong friends Bryan Eklund and Eric Drobny as an acoustic string outfit, they drew early attention as finalists at the RockyGrass Band Competition and recorded their debut album, Moon Over Broadway, with Vince Herman. What began with upright bass and front-porch instrumentation has grown into a fully electric lineup that channels a classic era built on groove, harmony, and freedom.
