Seat Check Saturday 2026 brings the year’s biggest car seat check, with options to book in advance or arrive as a walk-in or drive-in to have a child’s car seat, booster, or seat belt fit evaluated. Expect to spend about 45 minutes or longer in a hands-on session that shows how to correctly install and adjust a seat as a child grows. While a crash cannot always be avoided, the goal is to help ensure everyone in the vehicle is as protected as possible if one occurs.

Mershops Market Days pairs a classic farmers market with a live outdoor concert at Town Center at Aurora. Browse fresh produce and farm goods, pick up baked treats and artisan foods, and discover handmade items from local vendors while Colorado musicians perform. Admission is free and the atmosphere is welcoming for all ages. Each market includes live music, and this date features the Jacob Larson Trio.

Open sanctuary hours at Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary offer unhurried time to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and share space with rescued farm animals. Across 23 species, guests can wander through pens and pastures and meet the individuals who live here, with caretakers and volunteers nearby to share their stories, personalities, and everyday moments. Every ticket directly supports animals rescued from neglect, abuse, and abandonment, sustaining the lifelong care and safety they receive. Ticket pricing is intentionally kept low for accessibility, with $10 admission in advance or $15 at the gate, and free entry for EBT or SNAP cardholders with a card. The sanctuary is reachable by public transportation, one block from the 88 bus line and about a 15-minute walk from rail service. Please plan ahead for a respectful and comfortable visit. No outside food or drinks for humans or animals are permitted. Tickets are non-refundable unless an event is canceled due to severe weather. Arrive on time, as hours cannot be extended for late arrivals. Every guest needs a ticket regardless of age. Food and beverages, if available, are sold separately. Companion animals are not allowed on-site or in vehicles. This is a safe home for animals rescued from abuse, neglect, slaughter, and exploitation, and animals are neither bred nor sold. It is not a petting zoo. Some residents enjoy affection and may approach, while others prefer space, and both responses matter. Visitors are asked to move gently, respect boundaries, and let animals choose how to interact. Many residents are elderly, recovering, or living with chronic conditions, and care follows long-term wellbeing and veterinary guidance. The sanctuary is built on trust, and visitors help uphold that by honoring the animals and the space.

Set in a 119-year-old church in central Denver, this returning spookshow brings a fresh setting with familiar highlights. The lineup features returning vendors, presentations, entertainment, and a remote control car demolition derby, along with additional attractions to explore.

The annual Bike N Brew brings a community ride on the trails of Thornton, presented by Food for Hope and Satire Brewing Company. Riders will start and finish at Satire Brewing Company, then celebrate with an Oktoberfest-themed after-party. Expect opportunities to connect with local businesses, enjoy seasonal festivities, and take part in giveaways. Participants are encouraged to wear their best Oktoberfest-inspired outfits to add to the fun. The event aims to raise $15,000 to help provide meals for 3,000 Adams County students who are experiencing food insecurity this fall. All proceeds support Food for Hope’s food programs and food pantries throughout the semester.

Bed By 10 brings a 30-plus clubbing experience to The Church Nightclub, created for those who want a fun night out without losing the next day. Relive the spirit of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s as the resident DJ spins crowd-favorite classics while vivid visuals light up the dance floor. The focus is on good vibes, with a welcoming space to dance, socialize, and enjoy the music, then still wrap up early.

Yacht Rock Revue brings a smooth-sailing celebration of classic soft rock to Mission Ballroom, reviving beloved sounds of the 70s and 80s with faithful takes on songs made famous by Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, and more. Widely credited with fueling the modern yacht rock revival, the group has performed alongside genre icons and cultivated a dedicated following known as Anchorheads. This edition leans into a primetime theme, mixing larger-scale production with the close-up, interactive feel that recalls their early club roots, including a nod to beginnings in an Atlanta basement. The event is open to ages 16 and over. The setup features a general admission floor and bowl, plus reserved seating in the East and West balconies. Balcony ticket holders can also access the general admission areas, and reserved sections include nearby bar service and exclusive restrooms.

Managed by Jarman and Co., Central Park Farmers Market gathers local vendors offering Colorado-grown produce, freshly baked goods, specialty meats, and other gourmet finds. The focus is on nurturing the surrounding communities by making fresh, wholesome products easy to find. To keep the emphasis on local, items must be grown, raised, produced, or gathered by the vendor in Colorado or in counties that border the state. When a product is not available in Colorado, an occasional exception may be considered if it benefits the market and its vendors, with decisions based on the connection between the vendor and the producer. Expect a welcoming marketplace centered on quality foods rooted in the region.

Practice takes place just south of the parking lot at E Mississippi Ave and S Franklin St, between Washington Park Mount Vernon Garden and Grasmere Lake. After class, participants often stay to connect with others and enjoy the lake.

A weekly story time from Audacious Immersive takes place on Sundays at the Van Helsing Society. Each session features a different legendary figure reading aloud to young listeners. The selections spotlight mythical creatures and classic tales, opening a window into folklore from around the world. Surprise visits by puppet creatures add to the fun, and the atmosphere is cozy and interactive. Attendance is free.
