Shoppers can look for regular food vendors such as Killam & Bassette Farmstead, Betzy’s Latin Cuisine, Khemi’s Vegan Cuisine, and Natural Juice, along with artisans including Destinie Designs, Kiffy Naturals, Rico Suave Accessories, and The She Shed. Community organizations share information and services, including American Jobs Center, Bridgeport Public Library, Fairfield County Coalition Voter Registration, Greater Bridgeport Transit and CTrides, Liberation Programs, and Recovery Network of Programs. Rotating special guests may also appear, such as CONNECT-US, Norma Pfriem Breast Center, Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging, UI/Avangrid, and Jehovah’s Witness. Through a partnership with the Bridgeport Farmers Market Collaborative, the Bridgeport Bucks Program helps make healthy food more accessible by providing coupons that can be used to purchase fruits and vegetables at farmers markets across the city. Businesses and organizations buy these Bucks to give as incentives or rewards. The market accepts SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks, as well as cash, credit, and debit. An incentive match is available so every dollar spent with SNAP at the market becomes two dollars toward fresh produce.
