Food trucks serve a wide range of options including breakfast and brunch fare, coffee and matcha, ice cream, gluten-free baked goods, smoothies, barbecue, and other seasonal treats. Live local music sets the mood while shoppers explore. Special activities include pet adoptions, cooking demonstrations, and presentations by agriculture experts. Families will find a dedicated Children’s Market and the Piglets Club, offering hands-on learning, storytime, farm animal visits, face painting, and $1 tokens that let kids choose their own fruits and vegetables directly from farmers. Children are central to the market’s mission, with experiences designed to spark healthy relationships with food and community, made possible in partnership with the Downtown Milford Business Association and The Giggling Pig of Milford. Many participating farmers accept SNAP, WIC, and senior vouchers.

At the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Southport, CT, the 39th Annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge brings together runners, walkers, and families, rain or shine. Those who cannot attend in person can participate through virtual options. The lineup includes a kids fun run featuring a 100-yard dash and a one-mile jog for children from pre-K through sixth grade, with awards, snacks, and plenty of activities just for them. Runners can take on a certified 5K showcasing views of the scenic harbor and historic Southport, while a relaxed 3K walk welcomes participants of all ages, whether coming solo or with friends and family. Expect complimentary T-shirts, goody bags, activities, food, and beer for guests with valid ID, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone. The event also serves as a meaningful source of support for local nonprofit organizations.
