He toured widely as a bassist before the digital era, took on the role of Buddy Holly in the West End production Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story in the mid 90s, and creates and performs tributes including a Bowie birthday celebration and an evening devoted to Johnny Cash. His books include the novel Perfectly Broken and Cash on Cash: Interviews & Encounters with Johnny Cash.
