Dr. William Lane, an educational consultant, academic coach, and advocate, leads a free session on the essentials of special education and Individualized Education Programs. Participants will learn what an IEP is, how accommodations differ from modifications, and how to prepare for an IEP meeting. The presentation also covers important laws, effective strategies, and practical tips to support a child’s learning. This no-cost program is intended for parents, legal guardians, and educators. Mighty Milers is an eight-week running program at Milton Elementary School that meets twice each week. It is open to children in grades two through eight and welcomes both newcomers and experienced runners. Participants are encouraged at their own pace while learning the skills needed to become confident, capable runners. Sessions introduce fundamentals like drills and stretching, then build toward speed work and strength training. The goals are to boost fitness, improve running ability, make friends, and show that running can be fun. Activities may take place on the track, on a trail, or through running games to keep things engaging.

Feelings Rock with Ms. Taylor invites children from newborn to age 5 and their caregivers to a music and movement experience that supports social and emotional growth. Through songs, active play, and activities focused on feelings, participants practice recognizing, expressing, and coping with emotions while staying active. The session features rhythm sticks, egg shakers, sign language, puppets, stories, instruments, and plenty of dancing for a lively, hands-on time together.

Homeschool Day at the Biggs Museum welcomes homeschooling families for a recurring program that nurtures curiosity and creativity. Each edition introduces a new theme with fresh learning experiences across art, culture, history, and STEM. Expect staff-led demonstrations and guided gallery tours that rotate topics, along with interactive stations offering hands-on making, STEM-focused challenges, and creative projects. Families receive take-home curriculum guides designed for homeschool use, and there is time to meet other homeschooling families, share ideas, and build connections. Attendance is free, and registering by email is recommended.

ThursBey is a weekly Beyblade X battle night that brings together local bladers for fast, friendly competition. Participants can bring favorite combos, face a range of opponents, and put builds to the test in quick paced matches. New and experienced players can pick up tips, swap strategies, and enjoy an energetic atmosphere as tops collide throughout the event.

Part of the Summer Concert Series, local band Ty Sherwood & The Brackish Water Boys perform on the lawn, where attendees can bring a chair or blanket and settle into a favorite spot to listen. Beer and wine will be available for purchase with ID required. Uncle Bernie’s Steak Shack will be on site with a food truck serving dinner.

Celebrate autumn with Yogi Bear™, Cindy Bear™, and Boo Boo™ in a friendly seasonal gathering highlighted by changing leaves and a festive fall atmosphere.

There is no entry fee. Learn the basics of Pokemon TCG, Pokemon VCG, or Pokemon GO, then take on other players whenever you feel ready. The atmosphere is family friendly and a welcoming place to connect with fellow Pokemon fans. Activities are hosted in The Lair, located behind Red Bandana, with public parking available nearby. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, and snacks and drinks can be purchased at The Lair’s snack bar. Calling ahead to reserve a seat helps with headcount.

Milton Theatre hosts a live, interactive princess tea party designed for all ages. Guests can dress up and enjoy tea served hot or cold along with cookies, while favorite princess characters sing, dance, and share stories with the audience. A meet and greet offers the chance to take photos with the characters. Festivities are brought right to the table for an easygoing, engaging experience. The show features the kids from Milton Theatre’s Triple Threat musical theatre program.
