Talbot Kennel Club and Mispillion Kennel Club present the DelMarvelous AKC Cluster, an all-breed dog show at the Kent Building on the Delaware State Fairgrounds. All judging takes place in a covered, open-sided pavilion. An armband raffle is held each day, and there are opportunities for CGC Canine Good Citizenship and Trick Dog testing. Attendees can meet breeders and owners to learn about AKC recognized dog breeds. More information and the premium list will be available soon.

ThursBey is a weekly Beyblade X battle night featuring quick matchups with a local community of Beyblade fans. Participants arrive with their preferred combo builds, face off against fellow bladers, and enjoy a lively, competitive atmosphere. Both beginners and experienced players can pick up new skills, exchange tactics, and put fresh builds through their paces.

Children are invited to the library for ten minute reading sessions with friendly therapy dogs from PAWS for People. Reading to animals has been shown to support skill growth and boost confidence. It is a welcoming option for new readers, those who feel hesitant, and learners beginning English. Participants read a book of their choice and spend time one on one with a dog. Teens and adults are welcome to read too. Complete five sessions to receive a PAWS for Reading Goldie’s Gang t-shirt. One reader is paired with each dog for each ten minute session, and participation is first come, first served.

Creativity takes center stage at Jellystone Park with a playful art-focused celebration featuring painting and drawing. Yogi Bear and friends add to the fun with a friendly challenge to see whose artwork shines, offering a cheerful setting for making memorable creations.

Every other Friday, the Delfire Club hosts a beginner friendly Dungeons & Dragons adventure created for participants 16 and under. Players can step into a shared Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaign with ready to use pre-made characters. The experience covers the fundamentals of D&D, invites exploration of the city of Waterdeep, and uses a flexible drop in, drop out format so young adventurers at any experience level can take part with ease.

Take part in a free gathering focused on Pokemon TCG, Pokemon VCG, and Pokemon GO. Newcomers can learn the basics, then face other players when ready, all in a family friendly setting that makes it easy to meet fellow Pokemon fans. Activities take place inside The Lair, the new shop located behind Red Bandana. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and refreshments are available for purchase at The Lair’s snack bar. Calling ahead to reserve a seat is appreciated to help with the head count. Public parking is available nearby.

Children ages 3 to 12 can dive into stories through lively read‑alouds, hands-on crafts, imaginative role-play, and activities for the whole family to enjoy together. Explore historic aviation up close at the Air Mobility Command Museum during Open Cockpit. Step inside several remarkable aircraft, including the only C-5 publicly on display anywhere, a C-47 that flew on D-Day, a C-54 that served in the Berlin Airlift, the first KC-10 ever built, a C-133 presented with distinctive vehicles on board, Air Force 2, and other notable firsts, lasts, and one-of-a-kind aircraft spanning from WWII to today. Take a closer look at the newest arrival, the A-10 Warthog, while knowledgeable docents, many with firsthand experience, share insights and answer questions. If it rains, outdoor aircraft will close, but the C-47 inside the hangar, the control tower, the flight simulator, and the theater will remain open. Food will be available for purchase outside from a local food truck vendor. Admission to the museum is free and open to the public, with costs only for food and items from the gift store or mobile trailer. Donations are welcome and appreciated.

Melissa Brenner from First State Improv leads an improv workshop for tweens. Participants ages 8 to 12 can explore improvisational theater, where performers invent scenes, dialogue, and characters in the moment, and no previous experience is necessary.

Mighty Milers is an eight week running program at Milton Elementary School that meets twice a week. Designed for children in second through eighth grade, it welcomes both newcomers and experienced runners. Participants build skills step by step, beginning with fundamental drills and stretching, then progressing to speed work and strength training. Each child is encouraged to advance at a personal pace while learning what it takes to become a successful runner. The goals are to boost fitness, grow as runners, make friends, and discover that running is fun. Sessions blend track time, trail time, and games to keep the challenge engaging and enjoyable.

Feelings Rock brings social emotional learning to life through music and movement for children ages NB to 5 years and their caregivers. Participants explore ways to identify, communicate, and manage feelings while staying active and engaged. Activities include playing with rhythm sticks and shaker eggs, using simple sign language, interacting with puppets, listening to stories, trying instruments, and dancing, all designed to encourage learning and whole body wellness.
