Dadeland Mall brings back a summer Monday promotion where children 12 and under receive a complimentary kids item or meal with the purchase of an adult item or entree at participating eateries, and the offer is valid when mentioned. Select retailers also include a free toy or an experience with a qualifying purchase. Participating spots and their deals include Avocado Food, which adds a free corn cup with a $20 purchase; Ben’s Pizza, where buying any slice includes a classic cheese slice for a child; Charleys Philly Steaks, offering a complimentary kids meal with a full price entree of at least $10; Churromania, providing an 8 piece CrispyMania for kids with any churro order; Jrk!, giving a free kids meal with an adult entree; Kelly’s Cajun Grill, adding a child sized portion when a regular combo is purchased; Macy’s Cafe, including a kids chicken tender meal and a small toy with an adult meal; Niko Niko Boba, featuring buy one, get one free; OMG Brigadeiros, where purchases over $18 include a Rainbow Brigadeiro Bite for kids; Pei Wei Asian Express, providing a choice of one side and one entree with the purchase of an adult combo meal; Popeyes, supplying a free Kids Meal with any Family Meal; Pura Vida Miami, where buying a kids meal comes with a free Pink Paradise valued at $8.95; and Say Tea & Smile, also offering buy one, get one free. Enjoy a gentle Stretch and Relax session designed for active adults 55 and older, featuring seated movements that promote flexibility and calm. Offered at no cost through a partnership between the Village of Palmetto Bay and Baptist Health, the class takes place in the Recreation Room at Palmetto Bay Park. The Village of Palmetto Bay, in partnership with Baptist Health, offers free Pilates Core & Stretch classes every Wednesday. Participants are asked to bring a mat and water. Space is limited, and on-site registration is required. During the summer months, from June to August, classes move to Perrine Community House.

Hosted by alumna Stephanie Reed Traband (L '98), the Summer Business Connections Group lunch brings local alumni together at Tap 42 in Midtown for networking and conversation in a semi-private room. The menu features a selection of salads and sandwiches, and a non-alcoholic beverage is included with the meal price. The cost is $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Those who prefer to attend without the meal may do so at no charge. The goal is to connect area alumni, learn about each person’s product or service, and support one another with referrals. Attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards. Casual attire is appropriate. All alumni are welcome, including retired alumni and those seeking employment, and current students are also encouraged to participate. After the lunch, anyone interested can stay for a coffee chat about volunteer opportunities with the Club. Questions can be directed to Stephanie Reed Traband.

At Thalatta Estate, The Village of Palmetto Bay and Master Gardener Gloria Joannou present a series of gardening workshops. Topics include Flip Your Yard, All About Orchids, Composting, Recycling and Zero Waste, and Edible Gardening. Admission is free for every session. There is no advance sign-up, as registration takes place upon arrival, and attendance is capped at 35 participants.

The Latchkey Kids make a return appearance at Sandbar Sports Grill of Cutler Bay. There is no cover charge, and guests of all ages are welcome.
