Partnering with I Am Legacy PTCA offers a way to reach local families, highlight programs or services, demonstrate community leadership, and provide meaningful help to parents and children while strengthening the broader community.

BLOOM is a series of welcoming, informational gatherings in Albany designed for pregnant and postpartum Black families. Presented by the Georgia Black Doula Network, Birthing Love, Outreach, and Optimal Motherhood creates supportive spaces to share stories, connect with others, and gain practical knowledge that promotes healthy outcomes during pregnancy, birth, and the early months of parenting. Each session focuses on a distinct topic and is led by a community expert. The tentative 2026 lineup features offerings such as Birth to Bloom, which centers on mindful preparation for labor and early parenthood with relaxation and stress reduction practices, Baby and Me, which highlights infant development, bonding, and hands-on care including babywearing, diapering, massage, and soothing, Crafting a Birth Plan, which helps participants understand informed consent and communicate preferences on pain relief, movement, interventions, newborn care, and the postpartum period, Comfort Measures for Birth, which practices techniques like breathing, positioning, movement, massage, counterpressure, visualization, and the use of tools such as birth balls and hot or cold therapy, and Postpartum Table Talk, which addresses recovery, breastfeeding, infant care, mental health, and building a support network.
