Explore a gym filled with discoveries for every age, from children’s clothing and toys to housewares, decor, books, and music. You will also find luggage, linens, art, collectibles, sporting goods, tools, games, and an extensive selection of men’s and women’s clothing. A special boutique area showcases higher end pieces for collectors, and for clarity, no gold or precious gemstones will be for sale. The bake sale offers homemade treats from church members, including cakes, pies, cookies, and muffins. Enjoy something sweet while you shop or take your favorites home. Cash, Zelle, and PayPal are accepted for easy checkout. Parking is available, and the church is accessible by public transportation. This event is known for affordable prices and community impact. Proceeds support St. Peter’s and also benefit local charitable organizations. Past efforts have included donating vases to Inspire Through Flowers and sending unsold items to Goodwill and Salvation Army resale stores, the Jesse Brown VA, the Niles Township Respite Center, Refugee One, and other nonprofit groups. Donations of nonperishable food for the Mini Pantry are appreciated.

A neighborhood-friendly group ride for all ages begins at Raymond Park and travels approximately 2.8 miles one way to Independence Park. It welcomes families with kids riding in cargo setups or on their own bikes, though training wheels are not advised. The pace and route are intended to be comfortable for newer riders while encouraging connections among neighbors and nurturing a love of cycling on Evanston’s streets. The ride is free. Bring helmets. Plan to arrive a little early to get situated, with time for kids to play and adults to socialize before departure.

Held at Ahimsa Yoga Studio, this course invites participants to explore how sound shapes human experience through a clear, science-based lens. It focuses on how frequencies interact and how that interplay can influence mood, physiology, energy levels, the nervous system, and states of consciousness. The curriculum also examines intention as a vital part of the healing process. Hands-on learning is central. Participants will use the scientific method to conduct experiments on resonant frequency, cymatics, entrainment, and related topics, then connect their results to the practice of sound meditation and the mechanisms behind it. Everyone will design and run an experiment to better understand how sound meditation can affect participants, and the Meaning Response and the science of intention will be part of the discussion. There are no prerequisites. The fee is $250 for non-members and $215 for Ahimsa members. Singing bowls will be provided for use during the course, with the option to purchase a selected bowl at the end, including 20% off bowls and 10% off other instruments. Instruction is led by Justin Peterson, a musician and educator who emphasizes self-care alongside musical craft. His background includes yoga, meditation, ethnobotany, and sound, and he holds a degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With 25 years of performances spanning classical, jazz, and rock, he co-created Jazz Out The Box and performs with Chicago-based groups including Steve Knight Trio, Here & Now Ensemble, Maxx Hunter McGathey Orchestra, and Wills McKenna Path Quintet.
