Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre is holding auditions for the musical comedy Something Rotten!, directed by Rick Vale, at The Alley Theatre. Performers from high school age through adults of all backgrounds are encouraged, and most roles require both singing and dancing, with a single non-singing role open to any gender. Those auditioning should prepare a short comedic monologue, sing sixteen measures of an energetic song that shows volume, range, and personality, and take part in a dance assessment. Rehearsals are planned on weekdays and Saturdays, and not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. The story follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom in the Renaissance as they try to step out of Shakespeare’s shadow by creating a bold new kind of show that mixes music, movement, and acting, only to learn that real success comes from staying true to themselves. Roles include Shakespeare, Nick and Nigel Bottom, Bea, Portia, Nostradamus, Brother Jeremiah, Lord Clapham, Shylock, and a Minstrel, along with an ensemble of townspeople, a troupe, servants, crowds, a chorus, and more.

Hoobastank brings a sing along set to Noblesville, packed with catchy hooks, tight riffs, and the kind of crowd energy that has the whole place singing together. The Reason takes the spotlight, while Running Away and Same Direction keep the momentum high. The night is led by headliners Staind and Seether, with Hinder setting a loud tone to open.

Melaverse presents a festive Navratri celebration featuring a live performance by Kinjal Dave, a celebrated Gujarati folk artist known for Garba and Dandiya Raas. The event takes place at the Fieldhouse at Finch Creek and invites the community to dance together into the night. Food will be available on site, and guests are encouraged to wear traditional attire. Attendees can enjoy the rhythms of Garba in the Midwest with a live set by Kinjal Dave.

The Rhinos return to Bier Brewery Noblesville for a rock performance in the outdoor space. This summer event unfolds in a two acre biergarten noted as the largest in Central Indiana, with mature trees and fire pits setting the scene. Amenities include a playground for children, bocce courts, cornhole, and a dog park.

Explore Mounds State Park after dark on a guided walk focused on the full moon. Participants will meet a naturalist on the Visitor Center porch before setting out on a moderate hike lasting about 45 minutes to one hour. Please bring a red-light flashlight only to protect night vision. A limited number are available to borrow from the Friends of Mounds State Park.
