Grace Care Center hosts a Choice Food Pantry at Grace Church, offering a grocery shopping experience supported by a personal shopper. Weekly visits are available, and receiving groceries here also serves as the first step toward connecting with other Care Center programs and services. The pantry is open to anyone who lives or works in Hamilton County, as well as residents of the northern part of Marion County north of 56th Street. Nothing is required on a first visit, so there is no need to bring identification or paperwork. Reservations are encouraged, though they are not required. Guests arriving without a reservation should plan to come within the first 30 minutes after the waiting room opens. On arrival, follow the entry drive to the back of the building and park in the north lot, then enter through the Care Center entrance at Door 18 where staff and volunteers will help with check-in. You will shop for groceries with a personal shopper, then pull up your car outside so volunteers can load your items. The Care Center can be used once per week.

Assistance is provided in order of arrival. No advance registration is needed, and you can add your name to the sign-in sheet when the program begins. Indiana Legal Services cannot advise on criminal cases beyond expungements, and ILS eligibility requirements apply for those seeking help. Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre is holding auditions for the musical comedy Something Rotten!, directed by Rick Vale, at The Alley Theatre. Performers from high school age through adults of all backgrounds are encouraged, and most roles require both singing and dancing, with a single non-singing role open to any gender. Those auditioning should prepare a short comedic monologue, sing sixteen measures of an energetic song that shows volume, range, and personality, and take part in a dance assessment. Rehearsals are planned on weekdays and Saturdays, and not everyone will be called for every rehearsal. The story follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom in the Renaissance as they try to step out of Shakespeare’s shadow by creating a bold new kind of show that mixes music, movement, and acting, only to learn that real success comes from staying true to themselves. Roles include Shakespeare, Nick and Nigel Bottom, Bea, Portia, Nostradamus, Brother Jeremiah, Lord Clapham, Shylock, and a Minstrel, along with an ensemble of townspeople, a troupe, servants, crowds, a chorus, and more.
