Groovesmash takes the stage for Jams at the Junction at Grand Junction Plaza, part of a free concert series on the Great Lawn that also features Dave & Rae, Stella Luna & The Satellites, The Why Store, Midnight RedEye Band, and the Jai Baker Trio. This staff-led nature program unfolds in the cool waters of Grassy Branch Creek at Grand Junction Plaza and is presented by Williams Creek Management. Participants explore the small creatures that live in the creek and dive into topics that may include animal identification, invasive species, watersheds, and ecosystems. Every participant receives a small bucket and net to take home for continued discovery. An adaptive and accessible option, made possible by Colt Moving, features water tables with creek samples set up near the creek so everyone can participate. The experience is family friendly, pets are not permitted, and closed toe shoes are required. Bringing water, sunscreen, and a hat is recommended. The cost is $8 per participant.

Shepherd’s Gate Pantry offers basic-needs support led by volunteers from St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in collaboration with the parish HELP Committee, serving individuals and families in Hamilton County. Assistance is available to county residents who present proof of residency, with visits limited to once per month. Along with pantry staples, limited baby items may be available, such as clothing up to size 2T, baby food and formula, high chairs, and strollers.
