A support group focused on breastfeeding meets at South Marion Medical Park.

This group run marks the first free event of its kind in Grant County. Participants will meet in the YMCA lobby and can select routes of 1 mile, 2.5 miles, or 4.5 miles. All are welcome. Childcare is available, complimentary for YMCA members and $2 for nonmembers.

This friendly book club begins with an introductory gathering dedicated to choosing the initial read. Everyone is welcome to attend, and being a tenant is not required. Crate Escapes hosts an evening of trivia at the dog-friendly bar, pairing friendly competition with cold drinks and relaxed vibes. The game features three rounds that mix playful topics, quirky facts, and tough brainteasers. Teams aim for a spot on the leaderboard, and prizes are awarded to the top three. Dogs can play while their humans compete. Entry is free for people, and bringing a dog is optional. Dogs that enter the park need a day pass or membership, and proof of rabies, distemper combo, and bordetella vaccinations is required. To speed entry, advance registration online or through the Crate Escapes Dog Park + Bar app is encouraged, while registering at the door may add about 10 to 20 minutes.

Clean cardboard can make a difference for veterans. KCS Group, LLC hosts a weekly cardboard collection benefiting Disabled American Veterans Chapter 28. A regular walking group returns to Jackson Morrow Park after a fun prior season. This is a ladies-only meet up, and attendees are encouraged to invite friends, neighbors, and family members. Participants gather at the parking lot closest to the playground, then head out together for a community walk.

Shepherd’s Gate Pantry provides basic-needs support for neighbors in Hamilton County as a volunteer ministry of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, working in collaboration with the parish HELP Committee. Individuals seeking assistance are asked to present proof of residency in Hamilton County and may visit once per month. In addition to food, some baby items are offered when available. Cribs and mattresses are distributed by referral from local agencies including Good Samaritan, Birthright, Healthy Families, and County Trustees, and other items that may be on hand include baby clothing up to size 2T, baby food and formula, high chairs, and strollers. Guided by the message in Matthew 25 to care for the hungry, the thirsty, and the stranger, this distribution takes place at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and School.

Acoustic music performed live will set the tone at Pasto Italiano Westfield. Reservations are required.

Complimentary Friday dinners are available to help ensure no one goes without a meal, offering a simple way to care for the community. Volunteers can contribute by assisting with meal preparation, packaging, or serving. Those who prefer to help in another way may make a financial contribution to sustain the outreach and keep the ministry moving forward. Every shared meal supports neighbors and strengthens community care.

A family-friendly movie will be shown at Prairie Creek under the stars. Attendees can bring blankets and chairs for a cozy evening, and free popcorn will be available for everyone.

An annual golf outing hosted by the firefighters of Frankfort Local 705 raises funds for the Dave Elliott and Dick Sheets Memorial Scholarship Fund.
