This weekend in Ashland, KY

IYFL Opening Day at Tanks Memorial Stadium features a full slate of youth football. The day includes grade-level games for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teams, followed by flag football with Steelers vs. Vikings on Field 1, Buccaneers vs. Browns on Field 2, and Chiefs vs. Bengals on Field 1.

Enjoy shopping, food, and community spirit at a fall craft and vendor showcase fundraiser at Paul G Blazer High School. This event benefits the Ashland Blazer High School Kittens Basketball Program. Get a head start on holiday gift buying while supporting local small businesses.

Beginners are welcome at this hands-on sewing and quilting class, which starts from scratch and covers how to use a sewing machine along with rotary cutters, rulers, and templates. Participants learn how to calculate fabric to minimize waste and pick up essential terminology, all while working toward a finished quilt. Attendees should bring a sewing machine and scissors. Now in its third year, this race supports the vision for the PATH, a safe and connected trail system designed as a continuous loop around the city with links to community assets and to other bike and pedestrian trails. The course starts at the center shelter and continues through and around the park for three laps. Entry fees range from $25 to $35, with $35 on race day. Race shirts are guaranteed for all registrants.
