At West Edge Factory, the REACH Initiative presents a special community screening of Crime and Punishment in America, the new PBS documentary series directed by Lynn Novick and executive produced by Ken Burns and Sam Pollard. The gathering invites reflection on justice, reentry, second chances, and a shared vision for the next 250 years. The program includes a reentry simulation, the film screening, a community conversation, a silent auction, and an art exhibit featuring work by an artist in recovery, with more details to be announced. Admission is free, but registration is required. Dress code is business attire. This is more than a screening. It is a chance to talk about where we have been and where we are going.

IYFL Opening Day at Tanks Memorial Stadium features a full slate of youth football. The day includes grade-level games for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade teams, followed by flag football with Steelers vs. Vikings on Field 1, Buccaneers vs. Browns on Field 2, and Chiefs vs. Bengals on Field 1.

Beginners are welcome at this hands-on sewing and quilting class, which starts from scratch and covers how to use a sewing machine along with rotary cutters, rulers, and templates. Participants learn how to calculate fabric to minimize waste and pick up essential terminology, all while working toward a finished quilt. Attendees should bring a sewing machine and scissors. Now in its third year, this race supports the vision for the PATH, a safe and connected trail system designed as a continuous loop around the city with links to community assets and to other bike and pedestrian trails. The course starts at the center shelter and continues through and around the park for three laps. Entry fees range from $25 to $35, with $35 on race day. Race shirts are guaranteed for all registrants.

This stop is part of the John Crist Live tour, which includes more than 30 shows scheduled through fall 2026 and follows his nearly sold-out 2025 Jokes for Humans Tour. His recent special, John Crist: Emotional Support, has drawn more than 3.9 million views on YouTube, and he hosts the podcast Net Positive with John Crist.
