Runners set off beside the St. Tammany Parish Municipal Complex in downtown Covington for a Thanksgiving outing that weaves through the heart of town and along streets lined with moss-draped trees. Both the 5K and 5 mile courses pass near St. Paul’s High School, where the route bends slightly west before turning north, then heads back to finish at the St. Tammany Courthouse. Introduced in 2023, a 1 Mile Walk/Run begins just ahead of the longer distances. Those taking on the 5 mile follow an extra southern loop past additional neighborhood homes before rejoining the 5K route and heading north toward the downtown finish.
