The 305 to host the August Adoption Event!

    The 305, 305 Winter Street · verified Aug 9
    See details

The 305 hosts a Last Hope K9 Rescue adoption event for prospective adopters who have an application on file. Applications can be completed in advance or on arrival. Entry is staggered, with fully approved adopters admitted first and those with applications in process admitted afterward. To ensure there is time to finalize placements, adoption and deposit conversations conclude shortly before closing. Dogs are placed on a first come, first served basis, so arriving early is encouraged if there is a particular pup you hope to meet. Fully approved adopters with no pets or additional household members may be able to complete an adoption and take a dog home the same day. Please bring a 6 foot non-retractable leash. Fully approved adopters who have pets or additional household members can leave a $100 deposit toward the adoption fee if they make a match, which will hold the dog for 7 days to allow meet and greets and a smooth homecoming. Applicants with files still in process can also place a $100 deposit while their application is expedited, which holds for 7 days. In most circumstances, this deposit is non-refundable. For safety, children under 5 must remain in strollers or be held, and groups with children under 10 will be paired with a family escort. Only adoptable dogs are permitted inside the event space. If there are pets at home, the team will discuss personality fit and arrange a follow-up meet and greet, since on-site meetings are not possible. If anyone in the household has travel plans in the three weeks following the event, browsing is welcome, but please wait to pursue a deposit or adoption until everyone has returned, as dogs cannot be held in foster homes and will not be placed when there is upcoming travel.
