Free kayaking, fishing, and time by the water await at Holyoke Rows as part of Mass DCR Summer Nights. The program places a special focus on youth ages 13 to 17 while welcoming families with children and young people of all ages. Youth take part with a parent, guardian, or other accompanying adult, so it is a family-centered experience, not a drop-off or adults-only format. No registration is needed. A free peer support group for women processing betrayal, broken trust, infidelity, or the impact of a spouse or partner’s intimate or sexual betrayal. The group offers a confidential, caring setting to reduce isolation, reaffirm personal worth, and begin rebuilding peace and clarity alongside others who understand. It is not therapy, crisis support, legal services, or marital counseling. Sessions are facilitated by LeighAnn Ricci, RN, BS, NC-BC, a women’s health nurse with two decades of experience and professional training as a holistic nurse coach, with academic study in Religion and Christian Counseling. Conversations are guided by Christian values such as dignity, compassion, and hope, while remaining welcoming and nonpressuring for women of any or no faith background. Because the topic is sensitive, public RSVPs or comments are not needed, and initial registration is private through the form noted in the event information. A weekly cruise night at the Knights of Columbus in Enfield welcomes car enthusiasts. Admission is free, every type of car is welcome, and food and drinks are available.

Share a laid-back, all-ages community meal featuring fresh-cooked food. There is time before and after for groups, casual conversation, and arts activities. Helpers are welcome before and after. Contributions are welcome on a pay-what-you-can basis, but not required. Arrive hungry and leave nourished. Everyone is welcome.

At Unity House Players, families can take part in a playful improv jam featuring beginner-friendly theater games that spark creativity. Kids will invent goofy stories and bold characters while sharing plenty of laughs. The activity is best suited for ages 6 to 13, and parents and older siblings are welcome to participate alongside them. Admission is $10 per person or $15 per family each week for the general public, and UUSGS members attend for free.

A free monthly support circle for women experiencing burnout, overwhelm, or the strain of carrying too much on their own. Held at The Well House, it offers encouragement, simple grounding tools, time for reflection, and a caring community. There is no cost to participate. Hosted by LeighAnn Ricci, RN, BS, NC-BC with Crosswinds Collaborative LLC. This gathering provides support and encouragement only and is not therapy, crisis counseling, or licensed mental health care.

Settle in on Belchertown Common for a free, family-friendly performance featuring the Belchertown Community Band, a multigenerational ensemble. Pack blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a set that spans rock, patriotic selections, show tunes, and classic standards. If rain arrives, the music shifts to the Auditorium at Belchertown High School. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Belchertown Cultural Council, which is backed by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Enjoy a free outdoor screening of a 1977 film about a magical, sometimes mischievous dragon who upends life in a Maine fishing village while trying to help a young orphan escape cruel foster parents. Concessions will be available. Bring a comfortable chair, relax on a blanket under the stars, or watch from your car. This is more than a typical emo night or cover set, with production elements like merchandise, video, and lighting that echo the feel of the original tour. Recognized by Warped Tour and Kevin Lyman, the show pairs nostalgia with audience participation, inviting fans to help shape the night by voting on a setlist drawn from over 100 songs.
